To all parents,

I think it is important to understand what this travel league is all about.  I realize that everyone wants to win, but many times parents get too wrapped up in the emotions and forget the fact that all of the girls are learning the game of basketball. We as a league are giving these girls an opportunity to get better and hopefully have lots of fun. Please take into consideration that many officials in these games are learning, and all are doing their best with certainly no intention of "calling a bad game." Also understand that officials can not make all of the calls at this level or the games would take 2 hours. We've all seen parents thrown out of games or yelling at what they consider to be "bad calls". It's just not worth the aggravation and embarrassment to the players.

As a member of the group that runs this travel league, and someone who has been around basketball for over 30 years, I am asking you to take in the experience and enjoy it, and realize that this moment in your daughters' lives will certainly be over before you know it. Cheer when the other team makes a great play, and support each other, and know that being positive will definitely be much more beneficial as the girls get older. This positive demeanor will be mirrored in the kids as well as the coaches. Thanks for all that you do, and good luck to everyone.
